let me see past the stars
Sometimes I will tightly grip my neck
Just to see how tight I can get it
There's stars to see when the light fades for me
I cover my mouth and nose with the other one
How close, how close, how close can I get
To being able to see your face again
Coughing and gasping as the stars fade
And light flashes back in, far too bright
Once again I'm left curled up and crying
I'd give anything just to see your face
To reach just past the stars in my eyes
Just to see how tight I can get it
There's stars to see when the light fades for me
I cover my mouth and nose with the other one
How close, how close, how close can I get
To being able to see your face again
Coughing and gasping as the stars fade
And light flashes back in, far too bright
Once again I'm left curled up and crying
I'd give anything just to see your face
To reach just past the stars in my eyes
