Lying here awake and yet asleep
head under the stars
waitng to become
as the moonlight burns my heart
thinking leads me to you
and crying leads to her
lost in my world
of heartbreak and drama
as the stars above me swirled and twirled
i hate to be this way
but lunar makes me insane
i close my eyes for slumber
and hope the burn steals my pain

I really liked the flow of this. I also like the phrasing of "the moonlight burns my heart"; I love being outside under a night sky and thinking of that causing me any pain is something that really sticks.
