Rhythmic Pulses

in the silence where mind rests
rhythmic pulsing manifests
as molecules of air in waves
vibrating in so many ways

bouncing off the walls around
off the ceiling and the ground
bouncing off our eardrums too
adding sound to what we do

in forever as we breathe
in and out before we leave
rhythmic pulses manifest
within our shining consciousness -

in the times when we're asleep
dreaming dreams as we each keep
waking up again to hear
rhythmic pulsing in which we're

listening to all around
in the midst of living sound
as silently within the mind
understanding what we find
