Thank you! You are spot on as well, more times than not people fear making  a choice. Whether it be of inner conflict or an outside force. In fact many make no choice at all, and ignore both sides. Not choosing can sometimes have more consequences than making a decision.

The effects that apathy has on decision making is lethal, indeed.

I think the brevity that you evoke within your minimalistic approach is potent and so well penned; leaving the reader to some genuine thought provoking.

Thank you for the kind words. I actually saw the painting before the movie came out, since it was painted by one of my favorite authors. William Blake has some astounding work, I recommend reading "A Poison Tree".

I'm glad you could relate to it. As with most of my work, I try to write in a way that is heartfelt and with understanding. Dark poems capture the most emotion in my opinion, which makes for really great source material.
