Shadows of the World
Shades of black coat the world
Wrapping it in the arms of clouds
Falling embers light the darkness
As emotions swirl in the lost sea
Forbidden realms of night linger in the air
Translucent like the worm’s silk
The moons soft glow enhances the dark
And leaves the hidden still unseen
Paint of gray washes the color away
Welcoming the mind into delusions house
It whispers of lost and weary souls
Lurking underneath the history of human rubble
Dawn casts beams into the night
Pulling back the darkness hides
And the shadows of the world fade back to blue.
