There's no finer lunacy to embrace
Than that namesake love for lunar light
And how it embellishes near Earth space
The way halos jazz up an angel flight.
Oh who will say they need no such gold
When hearts are sterile or composed of stone
On nights which now are increasingly cold
And more so when dreams are still moonbeam prone?
But that's just the way of the solar ray
With photonic blowback from solid rock
Reduced to lumens at nocturnal play
All around the world's romantic block...
Now more than ever in dire need
For sunlight and midnight to interbreed!

Oh who will say they need no such gold
