The Object of Desires

Her slender form is still unknown
to all but her mother (and a father
no longer present).
Thin fingers curve below
her chin and one fingertip
touches a virgin lip.

If I could visit her thoughts,
would I see her prince charming
working his magic?
When she dances naked in front of my
thee-way mirror, does she
recognize her beauty?

I've seen the longing eyes of
boys when she passes.
Perhaps part of her attraction is that
she doesn't know she’s become
the object of desires.
