Sojourners

"All who wander are not lost." - Gandalf

We are all sojourners in this present world. Make sure as you travel you take the time to live. Would that you wake early enough, every once in a while, to watch the sun rise and hear the birdsong welcome the new day. Sit quietly after a rain shower and listen to the last pidder-padder and the final drip-drop-drip, then go jump in the puddles, run around, blow bubbles, sing a childhood song, pick up the found feather, collect last year's bird nest from among the branches of the apple tree. See the world with wonder through the eyes of a child. Enjoy the beauty of nature made with the hands of God. Watch the sunset paint the sky. My biggest wish is that you educate yourself through travel. Whether we are near or far, together or apart, travel extensively. Walk the beaches of the world. See new things, things you've never seen before and may never see again. Find out what's around the curve or over the next hill. Take the road less traveled and make priceless memories. Eat where the locals eat. Share a meal with strangers. Raise a glass and propose a toast: To freedom and far away lands, to sunshine on open highways and shade on forgotten back roads. To fellow travelers - fare winds and following seas. Here's to the lovers, the dreamers, the artists and musicians, the thinkers and the poet's, dear friends . . . here's to us. Safe travels  - Cheers!
