I could not be sad?

So is it true
that I
could not be sad
if after my demise
I end up as a ghostly thing
within a palid
and unsolid realm
above, up in the sky?

It’s not
and it’s so easy to think why
this kind of life
would not bring joy
to anyone who dies
and lives on bodyless.
.

For, as the ancient creeds assert,
the bible, too,
without an enfleshed life
there is no concrete living “I”
or anything resembling the deceased
that’s capable without a brain
of having sentience
or knowing without sense organs
the joys of human touch
or any of the pleasures
having eyes and ears
and  mouth
and limbs
or genitalia
and skin
that source
or are the seat
of all experience
that makes one feel alive
