THE NUDE
The nude does show
what's kept below
those clothes we wear
to blushes spare....
like bits that missed
getting sun-kissed
and that tattoo
kept out of view.
The naked truth
can seem uncouth,
that is, unless,
could not care less.
Unless one's drunk,
it can take spunk
to clothes forsake
for artists' sake.

Author's Note
Inspired by Trome's poem Nude and its accompanying picture (shown here). The first verse was a rhyming comment I made as a suggested caption to the painting. My reflections on the theme extended this poem to its present length.

Twelve lines of and you manage to paint a beautiful picture in nature of the brevity, my wise poet... very nicely composed
