Image for the poem What Would We See

What Would We See

Frozen in a meditative vision,
Light projected beams
Diffuse across rust colored apogee,

The birth of the universe -
An installation of a symphony,

Candle wax unction down the front of a face
Like broken bottles over ship’s sterns

Where spheres of star shine explode
Into existence, exhibiting the shedding of skin,

The path of poetry is seclusion
Because all things beautiful exist in states

Of seclusion.

O How I could cry/How I could die

Half foundered, some say the reason is,
What if we took the time to think about it,

Really think about it, what would we see?

Existence as a great contemplation,
A pathway to seeing:

What would we see...
