"Would he do it again"
There was a time,
he didn't have a thought about life
No opinions on what happened
good or bad
no choice on what to do or how to feel happy or sad
It was a dark time in his young life adulthood was forced upon him
at a very young age
his emotions had to remain hidden
he masked his pain
and suppressed the rage
His own well-being wasn't the only
he had to look after
For 3 little Angels depended on his care watching over them, keeping them safe
that's just how it was
for him life wasn't fair
No one at times to assist in his duties they were his blood
they were his sisters
he couldn't stop
no time to break
he quickly learned there was no time
to be a quitter
Struggling to keep it all
from slipping away
Losing his mind
and letting it tear him apart
He knew how it was supposed to be
and how it really was
it's that she didn't seem to care
that really hurt his heart
A young boy was developed into a man Well Beyond his years
little did they know his smile
helped shade and Disguise
his painful tears
All he felt was for them,
worrying where they'd sleep
or where their next meal will come from
Left a huge impression on his young mind
now that he's grown it still strikes a nerve,
that same boy sheds a tear
from time to time
But when he thinks back
to a different time
when life show them no mercy
he asked himself would he do it again,
if he could
for all it's worth
and all the memories we had
you bet your ass I would!
he didn't have a thought about life
No opinions on what happened
good or bad
no choice on what to do or how to feel happy or sad
