A Certain Kindness
I've opened a box of fragile suffering. Its silent darkness now envelops me, taunts me. It was a mistake. Forgive me.
The feeling of foreboding fills the empty confines of my mind.
Let's embrace when we see each other. I'll be back in July. Greet me and smother me in your compassion! Allow me the same.
I have to tell you, I need your instruction, your kindness. You are the mature one. You provide a certain hope.
I love the way you look for me when you glance right. I know.
When I'm lonely I write poems for us.
Allow me the truth of your heart and soul.
I know you know! You are the embodiment of what I lack.
Push me as I fight every last battle. Fill me with your thoughts, ideals, and peace.
Heal well our heart's passion.
