That's when the cookies crumbled

That was to be
Her day of Glory
At the Food Fair's
Truffles et Plus

'Show of the year

With her wagon full of goodies
How proud she was that
Even daughter Dorothy loved,
Nuts and almond and all

The road was clear
Headway she made
Exiting at the interchange

Circling part of the way
Out at the west side
Over the speed bumps
Knowing each inch of the way
Intending to be most careful
Emoting at the idea of losing
Sophie being such a strong opponent.

Considering  that her biscuits au chocolat
Reknown as they were
Usually beat one and all
Minding the biscuits and not the road
Betsy missed a curve
Lost control and
Ended up in the
Ditch.
