Collaboration

each one is special to me
unique and surprising in different ways
honestly, I'm perfectly fine not doing another
so maybe this can be my farewell

first one I ever did was with my future wife
we were just teens in high school
it was a poem about our struggles with bullying
something we knew much about
"weaving their snide remarks
attacking relentlessly
damaging my mental stability
monsters who look like people
abusive, forgetting the shit things they do
but I never forgot
no, it's like yesterday those feelings"

I didn't do another till years later
believe it was with Dave
about the times I first came to this site
we took inspiration from rock lyrics
and did our own tribute to the greats
"In my world, I paint it black
Let it be, I am the walrus
Strange days, that light my fire
Smoke on the water, gives me a rush
Purple haze, such a voodoo child
Like a rolling stone, rust never sleeps"

I worked with a lot of amazing talent
inspiring me with their creativity
poems about giants, and anime
vampires and marionettes
stuff that opened my horizon
"Come show me how you move to the beat of my heart
Laying on my chest you dance like a king
I'll be your queen tonight now show me how to swing
Fill me with madness your little gift to me
You can be the fishes I will be your sea"

even though there was never a bad collaboration
there were relationships that were strained
admittedly, it was probably my own stupidity
funny thing is they were some of my favorites
"slithers in the head demoness
she wants to taste your pride
bitter sweet vile'caine
do a line and melt your brain
she sees you are up for war
she desires to know you more"

and of couse there were those that are unforgettable
touching my heart with their kindness
broken pieces to a beautiful puzzle
these people I consider poetic royalty
that I was lucky enough to work with
"This shall pass too, my dear
Anchor belief in Yourself
and don't let the lightning of hatred
strike you down
or tempest of wrath rip you apart
for these are the tools of the miserable
and the spiritually dead
to pull you down and leave you a wreck"

so that's it
from school room halls
gritty raw
imaginative
hate fucks
and a work of art
it's been a pleasure

The lines with quotes are from some of the people I worked with. I didn't really want to put names as I wanted the lines to speak for themselves. I hope that doesn't upset anyone or goes against any rules.
