Cruel and unjust punishment
In Mississipi a Black man
Was sentenced to life in prison
For possessing 1.5 ounce of weed.
Yes, 1.5 OUNCE.
Totally crazy, cruel and unjust.
I would just like to see how ''pure''
Are the lives of the men and women
Who sit and condemn.
I also wonder if the same sort of cruel punishment
Applies to White persons.

To put in perspective, there are more people now making millions of marijuana as a legit business since many states made it legal while so thousands are still in jail.
