The String Section
I love the crickets and their tunes,
As fellow creatures of the night,
Worshipping all the waning moons
A clear sky guides into our sight.
And be they full or faintly waxed
Still the crickets sing their chorus
So fauna might be twice relaxed
By all the moonbeams set before us...
Which guarantees tranquility
As few other conditions will,
To set the mind at liberty
For receiving poetic skill,
Inspired by muse cricket song...
And beams as gold as they are long!
As fellow creatures of the night,
Worshipping all the waning moons
A clear sky guides into our sight.
And be they full or faintly waxed
Still the crickets sing their chorus
So fauna might be twice relaxed
By all the moonbeams set before us...
Which guarantees tranquility
As few other conditions will,
To set the mind at liberty
For receiving poetic skill,
Inspired by muse cricket song...
And beams as gold as they are long!
