Facing the Sun

Feet towards the sun,
I’m the lucky one
Following its run,
Across the sky
Wondering why
My day begins with sighs
Echos thoughts of goodbyes —
As the light passes
Lifting my lashes,
Knowing body is ashes
Yet full of life masses,
That stroke midnight highs
Beyond our skies
Into broader pitches,
Worn out stars drifting
Follow my lisping
Tongue in tune singing —
Now came too swiftly
For our yesterday only
Slammed into today,
Then laid us down
On the sweet green lawn
To worship suns wan
In deepening twilights,
I’ve felt these lights
Between the nights
Healing sacral space trice.
