this has a wonderful philosophical air to it.
though I do imagine a reader would be asking how to devour the words, while the publisher / librarian contemplates the distribution.

You may be right. Do you think that “writer” would work better than “reader”?

To be honest, I do think that. A writer would be far more likely to consider distribution.
