But in the beginning, came chewing gum
and two dudes, Atom and Evelyn  
then seven days making a week  
with free-roaming chickens
and tattoos
then a frigging apple tree
and with it a bite
causing Atom and Evelyn
to run naked helter-skelter
with a fig leaf, out of season
and talking to a burning bush
without a fire extinguisher  
as Cain but a cap in Abel's ass
for rocking the boat
with forty gays and knights

and pink laying eggs
