Sunrise Sunset
Entranced by the beauty of mother earth,
I can’t decide if it’s sunset or sunrise
either way it’s quite spectacular to behold
especially when unpacking mental baggage
I walk the beach a lot in my mind
soon I will feel the sand under my feet
and between my fingers
Sunrise is full of surprises, sea creatures take refuge under rocks as the tide rolls out, seagull’s dot the shoreline with there beaks scavenging for food, and me, well, I am quietly absconded behind a seawall of wonder as my entire being absorbs all that is nature at sunset…

I second and third the above comments. This is an outstanding poem with so much imagery even if the pic wasn’t attached. I could practically smell the ocean and feel the swirl of the water around my ankles. All the best in the comp. Lovely write. H🌷

I have a similar themed poem which echos this. I think the sea is one of the few things that everyone can enjoy no matter what they are. Young-old-rich-poor-race-gender-sexuality-relgion-all of it means little when your enjoying the sea.

Hahaha, tight write. We love the beach also although fall and winter are our preferred times to go. We hate the summer's heat and the crowd. But you said something about the confusion as to whether it's a sunrise or sunset. Maybe that's just one on a many ways nature attempts to show humans that we're also not so different. Honestly just a thought, again tight piece. Hahaha, comment and forgot to wish you good luck in the comp
