It was a dark and wintry night

It started with a phone call
Totally unexpected

While I was on vacation
And wishing only to rest and
Salvage what I could of the mess.

At first I wished to ignore the disturbance but

Demands are never leaving you
At peace...your past always
Rearing its ugly head
Knocking you about

Avoiding the call was not a possibility
Nerves on edge
Destiny is what it is.

Wanda was back
Incredibly still alive
Nothing can kill that witch
Totally at ease with all the eartly elements
Remembering, never forgetting
You want to escape from her claws but

Not possible as she
Invites you to
Go to her shack in the forest, her
Hovel, her Paradise and
Talk - death is the theme. No escape.
