Tongue lashes flashes, my ears can't take the thunder
Static charge heightens the senses and the mind now wonders
As I stand in the doorway I feel the pulling forces
My pain is all here and now I know their sources

It all narrows to a single point with everything turning back
Although her heart is touched she doesn't feel the contact
She's locked it away from what she considers a master thief
Standing within this charged atmosphere is our only sense of relief

She feels the loneliness lock within my stare
And the feelings that she once had, she's found hasn't gone anywheres
There are nails on the chalkboards within our minds
And the thought of another flood of tears keeps our hearts in line

No palpitations, no fibrillation, not even a slur from a murmur
There is water on both of our chest, so please watch your steps ma'am and sir
Haha slippery floor written on a sign, cautioning a lonely heart not to whine
But how can you order the moon not to glow or the sun not to shine

Her back faces me so that I can't see the falling tears that are now her reality
We each long for that which destroys all that we could or would ever be
Our painful love for each other paints everything black and white, as cold as can be
Only here within the aurora borealis is there color and we can share our destiny

Whether it be pain, then let us cry and hurt together
