Embrace The End

My hand touches the iron latch
I run into my room
I hide beneath my bed
To escape the evil doom
I hear footsteps in my head
I see feet on the floor
I look over to my left to see my iron door

I panic, worry, don't know what to do
I panic, worry, throw my right shoe
Bounces aginst the window
Distracts the evil feet
I take this chance to run
A pace at my own beat

Once I've run far
I look back at my iron latch
I see Death step outside
His darkness swallows like a tide
He starts walking towards me
My heart starts beating fast
My jog turns to a sprint
My memories flashback to me, can't focus on the past

I feel like I am dying
I know I need to rest
But if I stop, surely I'll be dead
I can feel myself slowing down
I look back and turn my head
An evil hound is on my trail
I don't think I can prevail
I get too tired, I collapse

Death catches me

Hey, this ain't too bad
