A Thought of Her

Awakened by her smile
As much as a thought of her
Sends illumination into the abyss
Of a heart darkened with time and regret

Rusty gears that were once
Frozen with tears of sadness
Dance again with the thrum of love
Great shadows are now brilliant dreams

The ocean is in her eyes
So much strength yet sadness
My wings embrace her vulnerability
Impenetrable force of a protectors love

A light shines,

And silhouettes

All my thoughts of her.
