watering the flowers

when I saw her watering the flowers
I knew she was the one

to revive the dying
growing inside the cracks

in the sidewalk
the jagged edges
on a pain felt path
to nowhere

to not be found
but
it was found

in the nourishment
pouring out
ever slowly
upon the dried up,
wilting rose

where one would surely pose
life and love
and what she chose
