Call the Night
Call the Night
As the sun starts settin'
Tell him I'm goin' out to meet him
At the old bell tower
With a lighter
And a pack of sticks filled with cancer
As orange bleeds through the dark
And heat makes escape
From the ice filled hearts
The structures fallin',
Turnin to burnin' eyes of coal
As I watch the world turn slow
Call the Night
Tell him I'm goin down to meet him
As the sky starts to darken
And the world starts sleepin
At the old bell tower
Where there's nothin but scrap
And a pile of ash
With my old friend Jack
To forget the past
And get lost in the moment
Where there's nothin but the road
That stretches on way past home
Call the Night
Tell him I can't make it today
To the old bell tower where there's nothin but smack and a couple of slags
I'm too busy at a party
With my best friends Mary and Jane
As the world starts to make its way
Past all the pain
Past the shine o' Ra
And make its way
Towards the moon and stars
The dark and the nightmares lurkin in cars
In corners and closets, all over the stairs
Call the night
Tell him I'm on my way
I gotta stop and pick up my new girl, Molly
I'll be at the tower at half past eleven
And we can hang like old friends
Way back in the day
Call the Night
Tell him I'm comin to see him,
Down by where the old bell tower used to stand,
For a while, to remember the past
To get nostalgic about the history of the tower and
I'll stay up the whole time
Until the sky starts to lighten
And the world starts to brighten
We'll sit around one final hour
Before I leave for the last time
Cause I ain't comin back
All my friends were fake
All the slags were wrong
All the skag is gone
Jack was violent, he hit my sister
Mary and Jane were freeloaders, they conned my mother for some cash to get a packet of hash
And Molly was liar, when she told me she loved me then met up with my brother right after she fucked me
Call the night
Tell him I'll meet him at the coast
By that old rundown dock
On the outskirts of Post
As the sun starts settin'
Tell him I'm goin' out to meet him
At the old bell tower
With a lighter
And a pack of sticks filled with cancer
As orange bleeds through the dark
And heat makes escape
From the ice filled hearts
The structures fallin',
Turnin to burnin' eyes of coal
As I watch the world turn slow
Call the Night
