Stop For A Second
You pull my hair & say my name to better see my face
You’re on your back, our movements are in sync; we’re warming up the place
& the more you speak, the more I want; the more we fall into a pace
I get nervous in your steady eyes but I can’t look away
Even in the most intense, you plant a sweet kiss on my head
The purest touch, are we meeting God? I could swear I’m born again.
Im not much into drinks so I think I’m now obsessed because
I never thought I’d beg to taste the Redds stuck on your breath
I come up for air from words that are so heavy in such short time.
So I call you baby just to save me from speaking out my mind
& when we’re judged for our forbidden pleasures, Ill say you’re the best reason why.
Because the way we look together, I’ll bet we make the stars cry.
And then we collapse; out of breath, bare chest to bare chest
With my hands on your back like you’re made of glass, I trace the alphabet
Boy - you are so pretty.
I pray you don’t forget
About this very feeling when I’m back home in my own bed.
