The pink moon broke on everyone like a wave
Now remembrance follows several days
Of feast and resurrection
We send messages in each other’s direction
Irrigate red eyes with the reliable sea
Softly wipe away our faces and just be
Burn pepperwood leaves and sage
It helps when the passed had a good laugh
And a catch phrase

My girlfriend is a Pomo weaver. She inspires many of my poems one way or another. The word for thank you is "Yawi."
