LAGNIAPPE
I enjoyed the extra time
Sleeping in your arms
On a cold night with a dying fire
We could not tend
The sound of my snoring
Protecting you from harm
The alarm having been set
12 hours after you meant
Each of us still arrived
At the places we needed to be
It was an unintended gift
Given to both you and me
Sleeping in your arms
On a cold night with a dying fire
We could not tend
The sound of my snoring
Protecting you from harm
The alarm having been set
12 hours after you meant
Each of us still arrived
At the places we needed to be
It was an unintended gift
Given to both you and me
