flowing hair      
hazel eyes      
and beautiful hands      
I sat down to write      
you      
the flawless love poem      
     
wording      
your courageous heart      
filled with     
Mother Theresa in      
living      
sometimes allowing      
a little      
grim reaper
     
the ying in your      
blood      
the yang      
in your      
breath      
     
tried a metaphor      
-threw a few similes in      
then pounded      
the alliteration;      
something about      
soft      
caring lips      
-the sway in your hips      
     
words fell to the page      
perfectly aligned      
wonderfully natural      
like you      
-cared for      
as the      
petals      
of a black rose      
weaved      
in the thorns      
of its stalk      
     
the balladry      
just couldn't match      
I sat down to compose      
an un-erring love poem      
     
and realized
