Wind Chimes
Hanging on the patio beams
Waiting to commence
the healing
cacophonous dance
First, a gift from my daughter
whilst traveling in china purchased
Sacred-appearing peal
of miniature brass bells
surround amber marble clapper
suspended from
shrunken temple roof
serenely ringing
when wind meets the surface
of ancient coin sail
Second, brood of doves from Mexico
white, glass harmonious flock
wings colliding
when blown side to side
emitting magical tinkling sound
as if summoning
some fairy godmother
or perhaps a melodious announcement
that Mother Nature’s in town
Third, graduated sized
aluminum tube chimes
suspended from wooden framed
smiling brass halfmoon
wooden ball clapper strikes
random tranquil tune
by wooden oval sail moved
Come now oh gentle, persistent breeze
Set the pendulous trio in motion
ease this troubled mind
with soothing sonorous agitation
