[NaPoWriMo 2022]                                              Inhaler  

 

I've been writing for an hour now
Trying to come up with a poem to post
But nothing came out from my mulling and musing
So I'll just write whatever flows
Truth be told, my mind is filled with NaPo
Even when I'm praying

This evening while listening
To the imam reciting as he led the prayer
My mind wandered and I thought about what to write
When I get home from the mosque
Different thoughts crossed my mind
But no poem was spilled till now

While looking and thinking for some inspiration
I see this inhaler which I've been using everyday
But since it's Ramadhan I can only use it at night
I even bring it when I go for tarawi prayer
I'm addicted to it's minty scent
And I love how the menthol cools my nose when I inhale it

Inhaler also reminds me of my grade five teacher
He always had an inhaler with him
Back then when I was in elementary
He was a strict teacher
I guess my liking for inhaler was influenced by him
The sight of him toying with his inhaler
Sparked my curiosity to try and use it since then
