crystal tears
She cried with crystal tears
And dried them with porcelain hands
Had she forgotten her value?
For with tears so pure as they flow
They leave a soft sparkling glow
Over ruby lips and petal cheeks
How important she know
Her inner beauty below
For her skin like snow has been beaten, bruised, misused
There’s a river of pain running deep
Like a thief in the night robbing sleep
Sometimes, she can’t even believe her reflection
But mirrors don’t reveal what’s underneath
For she is lovely, pure, and bright
Like a harvest moon unveils rare light
Yes, how important she know
That when crystal tears flow
It’s her treasure
That’s starting to show.
And dried them with porcelain hands
Had she forgotten her value?
For with tears so pure as they flow
They leave a soft sparkling glow
Over ruby lips and petal cheeks
How important she know
Her inner beauty below
For her skin like snow has been beaten, bruised, misused
There’s a river of pain running deep
Like a thief in the night robbing sleep
Sometimes, she can’t even believe her reflection
But mirrors don’t reveal what’s underneath
For she is lovely, pure, and bright
Like a harvest moon unveils rare light
Yes, how important she know
That when crystal tears flow
It’s her treasure
That’s starting to show.
