cerulean skies

rolling hills beneath cerulean skies
mimicking the ocean, forming clouds like foam caught in pacific tide

sail away in a hot air balloon, and forget the ground life, for a while
it’s easy to get lost in it all, but dust stings

a summer breeze will take control
let go.. you know it’s time
and they’ll see how beautifully your auburn hair glows, as it approaches the sun
you might ask yourself:
“how far?”
dangerously so, perhaps..
whoever told you surrender was easy, is a coward
but you are not

trust is a key that’s free
don’t squander a path above pine trees
you’ll regret it if you don’t
sitting in one place.. though the grass is pretty
it dies, eventually

but cerulean skies wait patiently.
