Inspiration, I invoke thee (NaPoWriMo 2022 #3)
Ensorcell me
in rapture's embrace.
Let my mind
break impudent borders
to wander
beyond the paltry
enraptured in song,
as in times gone by
and times yet unreached.
Wherein my thoughts
inspiration emblazons
as a wildfire through woods
and sticks of convention
kindling to dreaming potential.
Invoked, aspired,
a wasteland
cast afire and aflood,
and in the steam
such wonders
to mark these days
and burn through the boredom.

The flow of this is so beautiful. I tend to read all poems out loud when I read them and this sounded so fluid. It may be the use of language here, but it has a classic feel.
The image of the wood becoming ablaze from kindling is actually quite visceral.
Pardon the pun, but the last two offerings have been fire. 🔥
