Tears of the Lost Star

     "Alaska was my home, but I have traveled many places on this Earth
Experiencing not only it's love, but also, its wicked hurt,
      "From diseases to acts of human kindness
Through it all I have become the final witness,

      "A police officer takes time from walking his beat
To buy a homeless man new clothing and something to eat,
      "While corrupt governments continue to become rich
Treating all others like trash in a ditch,  

      "From wonderful beginnings to tragic endings
Constantly falling by the wayside and never winning,
      "But it has always been about progress and survival
Not confusion from a manmade Bible,

      "I was a strong follower once of the holy spirit
But with a open heart I could still never feel it,
      "What was wrong? I felt like in God's eyes I was a disgrace
Until universal understanding sledge hammered me in the face,

      "An education beyond human comprehension
That we are a broken piece within an unfathomable invention,
      "A small voice in a grand choir
Being drowned out by our own prejudices and dark desire,

      "Caught in an imperfect storm composed of a soul sucking wind
Torn apart by emotions that spiral many into sin,
      "Keeping us separated and never truly as one
Dying by the millions from our own created genocidal gun,

      "Each pull eliminated purpose and stifled our direction
Century after century ignorance weakened our protection,
      "In needed moments hope would shine through
Eventually being dowsed by negativity that constantly grew,

      "My river of tears for the world has already run dry
Because the execution order for my home has condemned all to die,
      "Over the loud speaker I give the space armada the command
As they begin turning the civilizations of Earth into ruin and sand".
