You make such a poignant, profound observation in this piece. The passage that touches me most is,
"I don’t feel the happy
it never did come…"
It takes great courage to make changes in our habits, big or small. I empathize implicitly with the though that a certain change didn't bring the happiness I had hoped...if I lose the weight, I'll get more luv'n etc. I have finally decided to make changes to please myself and if anyone else notices it's just gravy.
