Lose you in the day

Lose you in the day

Do you have to leave so soon, please come back to my bed, I want you to stay but I have to watch you leave instead

One minute we are snuggled up, naked skin to skin, then it's gets to that time, when the goodbyes must begin

It doesn't matter what I say or how I try to hold you tight, I feel you slide out my arms, at the end of every night

Like water running through my hands, you simply slip away, I'm left broken hearted, once again I face the day

Whilst the Sun's high in the sky, you are out of touch, I wish you wasn't just a dream, I want you so very much

But not just through the night, I'd love to have you in my day, to be my full-time Goddess, not just a night time play

But now it's that time again we must share a kiss goodbye, then you simply disappear no matter how I try

No hoping or wishing, I can't find the words to make you stay, I can share you in the evenings but I lose you in the day
