Absence

Absence....
   Makes the heart grow fonder.
       Or so i heard.
And it has been awhile since i seen you.
But trust that i have thought of you every single day.
.....and wondered what your doing....
....and how have you been?
     Do you ever think of me?
It was strange how you came into my life at a time
when i had prayed for so hard for someone.. {like you!}.
....and how crazy was it that just for a moment, you filled up
my emptiness and became EVERYTHING i had wanted,
......needed, and longed for!
       JUST FOR A MOMENT!
And then just as suddenly, things changed and we went our
seperate ways ....It was as tho you were merely a dream.
...... But i never stopped thinking of YOU!
I never once let go of the memories, or gave up hope that
SOMEDAY our paths would cross and we would get together again.
... Never did i let go of you in my heart.
Now all i have left are the memories of those few
PRECIOUS MOMENTS we shared.
...How good it felt to be with you, even for just a little while.
How hard it is to let go of so many emotions....
                       BUT I WILL!
I CANNOT say that i regret it! Because i dont.
But i do wish that i hadnt given so much of "ME", to
the whole "YOU" situation... {if i had known it would be
so temporary, and so one sided!}
But I will forever hold the memories, and they will forever remain
With You...IN MY HEART!
And maybe one day you will come back through..even if only
for a moment...
Because , they say, ABSENCE makes the heart grow fonder!
