Silent
silently I cry for the boy left behind
push to quick to be a man
boys don't cry echoed dad
a home filled with love and care
love was a given growing up there
feelings not assembled anger resembled
a angry man for the boy left behind
somewhere between 6 and 9
no physical or mental abuse
just no I love you was used
silent is that angry boy inside
a happy man now resides
the love of a wife set than anger a side
his home filled with loving care
and the words I love was always there

i was that little boy left behind, emotions i couldn't find where anger did reside. a beautiful woman helped me fine the emotional ground between fear and anger my wife my saving angel

This made me really think about my father and how I grew up in a little farm town where if you showed emotion at all people acted like you were not even human and I'm just glad I don't still live there.
