Winter Bonsai
If an Appaloosa horse
Were a tree
This would be it
The white snow
On the dark bark
Blue horizontal shadows
Run parallel across the ground
Blue shadows slant diagonal
Up the tree trunk
The branches sweeping
With long curves
Except the top right branch
Which has odd angles
The leaves as tear drops
Reaching for the ground
Were a tree
This would be it
The white snow
On the dark bark
Blue horizontal shadows
Run parallel across the ground
Blue shadows slant diagonal
Up the tree trunk
The branches sweeping
With long curves
Except the top right branch
Which has odd angles
The leaves as tear drops
Reaching for the ground
