What is a word
That it should have
Such meaning?
What is a look
That it
Should spread
Such lies?
What is a touch
That it should have
Such leanings?
And smell's
Deep sense
Reveal
These hidden whys?
What is a kiss
That it should
Show such yearning?
What are
These words
That they
Should show
Such burning?
What is,
After all,
The power
Of all being
If not to be
A simple soul
Adrift
And so
Set free?
What is a word
That it should have

Yes....what is the point of freedom if not to be liberated from our own misapprehensions?
I think we put the cart before the horse sometimes. We know that progress is the point, not perfection. So, a more perfect, not perfect, because practice makes improvement. And we need to be graceful enough with others that we accept that this is true for them also. So, boundaries help us to let go of those things in process that are not progressing without our judging where they are on their own pathways so that we ourselves can focus on our own progress and assist those who will be able to best use our resources. Life is short....every effort should count, and yet we can't take ourselves too seriously....it really is a mystery.
