It's almost time to get my gardening tools together... I plant early in FL!!.... Spring would be my favorite time of year, if we actually had a 'Spring', here....
Alas, it goes from chilly to humid and hot as hell.... lmao!

Haha...
I remember my first day on the gulf coast.
I lived in Gulf Shores for a while,
although we traveled quite a bit.
But I remember the first evening...
We went walking out by a friends house,
who lived a bit "inland".
(This was like around I think March or so?
In Michigan there was still like a melty snow
chill... So yeah. probably around March.)
But...
The physical atmosphere was...
Otherworldy.
Twas paradise. Paradise.
And drinking Coronas on the beach man...
And living on the ocean.
Oh yeah.
I foresee myself investing in real estate out there,
sitting by the pool, with my laptop, posting poetry
and trading stocks and crypto.
:)))
(and micro dosing... Haha.)
But yeah... Just paradise.
It does get quite scorch level at times tho.
(That was my first time seeing the ocean.
Oh yes... My grand father lived in Puerto
Vallarta Mexico and his secret to good
health was a daily swim in the ocean,
and I definitely see that there something to that.)
I just want to be able to dip out when I want to,
and be on the ocean... Just like that.
But I am so happy and grateful for all.
Umm... Check out this book Blu...
Its about living soil... Perhaps you have
read about such things, the soil food web...
Its mind expanding and totally awesome.

I have tried gardening so many times. It all goes great when I plant from seeds. Keeping them inside to germinate. So exciting to see them sprout out of those little pellets. When I transplant is when it gets tricky. They always end up getting eaten by bugs or it gets too hot outside. Ughhh. I just end up caving and going to the grocery store.
But I am quite obsessed with the smell of rich soil. Smells awesome!!!

Indeed.
As I wrote this I thought
also, of something like crawling out of the grave,
and how one would life a hand full of soil
in triumph and worshipful appreciation,
Representing a sort of duality, this being life and death,
the constant connectivity between these things,
That which is decomposing, enriching that
which is just now rising...
The perpetuation of it all...
Perhaps all these things register as
we breathe in the Earthiness.
I think first and foremost,
focus on the root system.
I would look into Mycorrhizal inoculant
and sort of dial into the life cycle, in
order to know when is best to place into the wilds.
And certainly prep your soil
at the end of the previous season,
in order for the bacteria to break down the mulch layer,
in order to become bioavailable to the roots.
Oh... and perhaps monitor the methods
of transplant or consider these things.
I think a healthy plant can
fight off the things you speak of...
In fact, it is my understanding that
the biochemicals, which the plant uses to fight
off pests and disease...
Are the same ones that fight off
pests and disease, in our systems,
when we consume a plant based diet.
That is just... Too cool.
