A Flaming Desire.

Light splashes the ground,
while thick green encircles you.
Hear the trickling sound,
and birds chirping around you.

However, it's all an act,
bedecked in ribbons, pretty lies.
Open your ignorant eyes,
take a peek at the truth inside.

The streams were merely kerosene,
birds chirping were lighter flicks.
Now your beloved green
is up in flames, degraded sticks.

That's the brutal reality,
a sweet crackling fire.
That's the expensive price, my love,
for your overwhelming desire.
