Your truth

Even if you leave this place
The darkness will follow
As long as you carry the same face
In this shroud of misery, it is inevitable that your soul will wallow
For the damned shall have no mercy, in this abysmal place
As long as you're here
You may as well let go of this sense of grace
Your deepest fear
For we are all lost, in this world of near miss, it's as though nothing is real anymore
Everyone is something other than human
This is where you realize what your fate always had in store
For you were meant to end up right where you are
You must have an idiom
Didn't you notice that you never had control
An illusion that was only lost to some
The reaper has come to harvest your soul
In the darkness you will finally see
For it was the brightness of hope that blinded you
From reality
This is your truth, even as you deny
The impact of his scythe is crushing your soul, as it contradicts your lie
