The Fox
There's a fox in the graveyard.
it's stretched out on a tomb,
Protecting it from vandals, it seems,
As the tomb is that of its mistress
The reknowned witch Zamlissa.
Burned at the stake
Because priests feared her.
Feared her vast knowledge of herbs
And spells.
Mesmerized them,
Scared them
To death.
She was not allowed
To be interred here
But nobody would dare approach
Or dare disturb the fox.
it's stretched out on a tomb,
Protecting it from vandals, it seems,
As the tomb is that of its mistress
The reknowned witch Zamlissa.
Burned at the stake
Because priests feared her.
Feared her vast knowledge of herbs
And spells.
Mesmerized them,
Scared them
To death.
She was not allowed
To be interred here
But nobody would dare approach
Or dare disturb the fox.
