A Fleeting Presence

Time can never want.
A dead tree is still a dead tree.
Memories are kept up inside the canopy.
There is nothing to resurrect.
What little bit was, is all.
No more, no less.
Wait, hold the image in place.
Know it's alive always in your heart.
Only being distant will help.
Before was a part of the past.
Passion was poised and ready.
Don't question the feelings.
Come around when you're ready.
No tomorrow was inevitable.
Peace is always welcome.
I have the fever of longing.
Pass by and ignore me.
It's the best choice.
Short lived I'm afraid is the diagnosis.
Just a quick reflection to acknowledge.
Not much more.
Move on now.
It's like the right thing to do.
I was watered with insight.
I will challenge myself to grow.
My mind may not remember.
But my heart always will.
For it beats only for the next reminder of adventure and beauty.
I will allow for the sharing of our passions.
Touch my affection with your attention and affirmation.
I will take care to protect your heart as it beats in tune with mine.
We consummate ourselves to each other for better and for the future.
Time moves in mysterious ways and so does love.
I feel myself enveloped in your essence of anonymity and mania.
I sincerely surrendered to your intuition and energy.
You encouraged me and I responded.
I fell flat in her enchanted encouragement.
Now it's gone. The chapter is closed. The pages are finished.
