Moment of truth

I was scared for what was about to transpire,
Everyone in the room had a spoon over fire.
My friend had a tourniquet tied around his arm,
He told me to trust him and that,"drugs do no harm"...
-----------------------------------------------------------
My heart beat increased by the sequential second,
I never knew that my friend was so decadent.
Perspiration drizzled down from my brow,
I needed to leave but I didn't know how...
------------------------------------------------------------
People were shaking and convulsing on the floor,
While others were fiendish for more drugs to score.
My friend was nodding over with a cigarette in hand,
For some reason I knew that this wasn't the plan...
------------------------------------------------------------
I was stricken by something that made me cringe,
A young teenager Beside me had holes in his skin.
The spot on the bend of his arm was bruised,
Although it was infected I know he still used...
-------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone was beyond high and drooling all over,
I'm thankful that I decided to stay consciously sober.
As for my friend who wanted me to depress the syringe,
He is the loser that owns nothing but his drug binge...
