Chained
You used to have me,
Shackled and chained down,
Guess you couldn't see,
You were too busy messing around.
Don't lie to me,
Don't tell me thing that's aren't true.
You're something I'll never be,
I'll never be like you.
You can cage me in,
Hold me like a precious jewel.
You can pretend your love isn't sin,
But my heart shall win this duel.
I am myself and live my own life,
I won't let you hold me down,
Won't let you cut me again with your heart sharp as a knife.
In the end, I'll wear the crown.
My path is my own choice,
I control my destiny.
I will choose my own course,
You can't control me.
